DIRECTOR, ENTERTAINMENT & SPECIALIST DIVISION, ABC

Member of the ABC's executive leadership team. Director responsible for a cross-functional team of 11 executives managing multi-genre content commissioning and distribution strategies, finance, business and production operations across TV, National Radio, Online, and On-Demand. Oversaw a team of 1,000 production, administration and technical staff producing a portfolio of world-class scripted and non-scripted content for all ages. Champion of Diversity and Inclusion, launching the ABC's D&I Guidelines for Screen Content.

August 2016 - July 2018

HEAD CHILDREN'S & EDUCATION, ABC

Spearheaded content development, oversaw original production, and led creative strategy across ABC KIDS, ABC ME, and the children’s Apps. Raised the volume of commissioned Australian children's drama, entertainment, animation, factual, and pre-school programmes. Commissioned breakout series BLUEY, and drama series INBESTIGATORS, and HARDBALL, amongst others.

August 2014 - July 2016

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER, ZODIAK KIDS STUDIOS

Originally brought in as CEO and Company Director of The Foundation, but quickly became involved in consolidating three production companies within the Zodiak Media group (now Banijay); Marathon Media, Tele-Image Productions, and The Foundation. Merged the disparate operations to form one cohesive organisation, naming it Zodiak Kids Studios and becoming its CEO

April 2013 - July 2014

VICE PRESIDENT & GLOBAL HEAD CONTENT, HIT ENTERTAINMENT

Served as the creative lead for all HIT content globally, As Executive Producer, credited with rebooting major franchises, BOB THE BUILDER and THOMAS & FRIENDS, refreshing FIREMAN SAM and rejuvenating MIKE THE KNIGHT, as well as developing LITTLE PEOPLE. Senior member of the HIT global management team working closely with Fisher-Price and Mattel lines of business.

April 2010 - March 2013

CHIEF CONTENT OFFICER, TURNER BROADCASTING

With a focus on regional production, was responsible for all content on Cartoon Network and Boomerang across Europe, Middle East & Africa; rolling out the preschool channel 'Cartoonito' strategically in the region; establishing CN Studios Arabia; building an international framework for Franchise Management, and facilitating a collaborative spirit among the global content teams, working closely with Cartoon Network Studios and Warner Bros Animation. As Executive Producer, delivered fantastic creative series like, SCOOBY DOO MYSTERY INC, LAZYTOWN, BEN 10 ULTIMATE CHALLENGE, and multi-award winning series THE AMAZING WORLD OF GUMBALL (Seasons 1 & 2). Turner Broadcasting was a Time Warner Company during this period.

January 2007 - April 2010

CREATIVE DIRECTOR & CHANNEL CONTROLLER, BBC

As the creative chief of CBeebies, devised and implemented the editorial and digital strategy across radio, television, and online; cementing its position as the number one 'preschool brand' in the UK. Cultivated an environment of innovation and creativity, attracting the best performers and producers; as evidenced by a number of high profile commissions including CHARLIE & LOLA, MISTER MAKER, IN THE NIGHT GARDEN, and GRANDPA IN MY POCKET. Nurtured CBeebies to be the most 'loved' preschool brand among parents, resulting in record audience reach and share on television and online; and winning multiple awards.
